Description
The Classical Red Tour with Lunch departs from your Goreme hotel at 09:30 or a little earlier from other places (we will inform you of the pick-up time from other towns at the time of booking) and travels to the most significant site in Cappadocia: the Goreme Open Air Museum. The museum is a sizable monastery complex with 9 over a thousand-year-old churches that you can visit. Since 1985, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and our guide will provide details on the history of the area and museum. After spending around 1.5 hours there, we’ll go to Love Valley Panorama Point to get a great view of various interestingly shaped fairy chimneys.
After that, we will travel to Pasabag Fairy Chimneys to view the region’s best-protected fairy chimneys. There are numerous multi-headed fairy chimneys in Pasabag, which is also known as “Monks Valley”. You may learn about how these fairy chimneys were created as well as information about the surrounding area from our guide. After the visit, we will drive to have our lunch in a small boutique restaurant.
After lunch, we will see the kick-wheel pottery demonstration in Avanos which is an art almost 4000 years old inherited from the Hittites. After that, we’ll travel to Devrent Valley to visit the fairy chimney that looks like a camel. The valley is also known as Imagination Valley because it contains several formations that, depending on your imagination, may resemble fingers, mushrooms, seals, or other shapes. Around 15:30 after your visit, we’ll take you back to your hotel.
